Words

Sometimes you say things without realising that its hurtful. You're caught up in the moment and everything's in motion. Suddenly you say something wrong and and you can't hit the brakes in time. You've gone over the edge.

I think it's rather extreme to scrutinize every word when you're having a casual conversation but it makes sense to exercise caution. Obviously everyone responds differently to a witty punchline or humour. Some will find it amusing. Other people might just get rubbed the wrong way.

Thus, I'm afraid that I'll say something impulsive, derogatory someday and lose my friends. It's just one of my many paranoia.

Speak when you're spoken to? Mind your P's and Q's? If you don't have something good to say, don't say anything at all?
